VE9 Slewing Drive Description

There are mainly three types of CSP stations: tower/Heliostat which using sde slewing drive or se slewing drives; parabolic which using se slewing drives or ve slewing drives; fresnel which using ve slewing drives or se slewing drives.

The slewing drive is essencial part of CSP, concentrated solar power photovoltaic. Concentrated solar photovoltaics and concentrated solar thermal have optics that directly accept sunlight, typically used to orient a mirror and redirect sunlight along a fixed axis towards a stationary receiver. So the system must be angled correctly to collect the heat. All concentrated solar systems must have slewing drive trackers because the systems do not produce energy unless directed correctly toward the sun.
